Our Sept 1st move of my daughter’s flat’s contents from Collier’s Wood SW19 to Stratford E15 went so well that I must praise Man & Vans for their efficiency and timekeeping. Without this service, my day was heading into nightmare territory. Crossing London in my estate car twice because I had to load some contents to take home, would have been terrible and lengthy. We were delighted with the two men who moved us to our new house in the pouring rain last week. They came armed with blankets to cover carpets and, despite getting soaked, tirelessly loaded and unloaded the van in record time. We had a house move from North London to Surrey. MAV kept in touch at all points – we always knew what the plan was. On the day, the 2 Fellas who turned up 20 mins early, did a quick site recce and got straight into the move. Excellent service and i would recommend Man & Vans to anyone. I used them for a collection / storage and then a delivery to my new address. I was contacted the day before to confirm the job and clarify what might be required – sheets / access etc. The men were on time for both occasions and contacted me on my mobile to let me know their ETA. They could not have been more helpful – very professional and very strong! Nothing was too much trouble. Moving is never easy / fun but Man and Vans made it all so much easier. I was a little put off by this first impression – but that didn’t last long as the guys you sent were prompt, polite and got right on with the work. Gary was friendly, cheerful and quick. We loaded the boxes in no time. We travelled with Gary in his van. It was great fun. Unloading was almost as quick as loading if not quicker (helped in part by the lift at the destination). On top of the quick turnaround, Gary gave us a discount for the wait in a long traffic queue on the way. Btw the prices of their service is very good, I must say. Next day, we realised that I had dropped my phone in his van. Gary had kept it safely and met me halfway to return it. “Just to say a big thank you for organising my son’s move from Shepherd’s Bush on
20th January, 2008. He was moving himself locally but, due to space restrictions
in his new room, a lot of items were to be moved back down to Poole. We decided
to save time and reduce stress on us all by using Man and Vans to
help.
I had been nervous about just picking a website, as I had heard so
many horror stories about unscrupulous people driving off with all your
possessions! I needn’t have worried. I was advised to look for a website that
was upfront, with an address etc. Your website had just that; together with
maps, photos of your staff so I could put a face to the name and enough
testimonials to reassure me that no-one would bother to spend that long making
them all up!
When I first made contact, I was reassured by the system
that was in place. I spoke to Roman about the job and he e-mailed me with a form
to fill in with all the details. This meant that we both had a copy of what the
job would entail. Next, Roman telephoned me to check that my contact details
were correct and gave me a price for the job, which was later e-mailed to me so
I had a record. This efficient system gave me the confidence to proceed. The
night before the job, Gary the driver phoned me on his mobile to check any last
minute worries I might have, and any doubts I might have had were immediately
dispelled.
Gary was extremely quick, friendly and efficient. My son, who
was at the London end could not believe how stress-free the whole thing was. The
previous day my son had hired a transit van to move the things he needed with
him to his new room in Bayswater. He described the whole experience as a
nightmare and having seen the contrast when Man and Vans took charge, he says he
will never attempt to move himself again!
We were hugely impressed with
Gary and the team and definitely feel this was money well spent. We will not
hesitate to use Man and Vans again, and I know my son feels the d-i-y
alternative is just not worth the hassle!”
