In a tragic accident last week a man died while trying to surf on a white van. Reminiscent of the film teen wolf, the man from Lancashire, was last seen mounting the roof of a white Fiat Doblo in Union Street, Chorley, in the early hours of Sunday 9th August. He was found eight minutes later by a taxi driver on Southport Road and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital, but died later. Police are appealing for the driver and a man with the van driver to come forward.

Man and Vans would like to extend this appeal to those in or around the Chorley area on the morning of Sunday 9th August. This man with a van needs to be found to assist the police with enquiries. Dr Miles Wilks, from Preston Royal hospital, was available to comment: “This was a tragic event that need not have happened. I would not like to comment officially on the case until the coroners report has been completed but I   would suspect the man was under the influence of alcohol. I would appeal to this unknown man with a van to step forward to help with police enquiries.”

Featured in the 1985 film Teen Wolf van surfing, standing on top a moving van with a man driving, is popular among college fraternities and older high school leavers.
