Man and Van Ealing Environmentally Green

September 1st, 2009

man and van waste removal 300x199Man and Van Ealing has always been environmentally conscious but not even our strong environmental policy can compete with the deal made by West London Waste Authority. WLWA have struck a deal with BiogenGreenfinch Ltd to turn Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond’s waste food into electricity. Anything from mouldy bread to rotten eggs will be collected from the doorsteps of the three boroughs and burnt at an anaerobic digestion (AD) plant. The resulting methane will produce enough ‘green electricity’ for the national grid to continuously power 3,00 homes.

Man and Vans Company Owner, Robert Innes, has family ties in Ealing and is very supportive of the project; “Man and Vans has always been committed to providing an efficient, reliable and also environmentally conscious service. Man and Van Ealing like the rest of Man and Vans London is very supportive of this project. My family has been collecting waste food in little green bins for some time now and it’s nice to know our effort is going towards a useful goal.”

Ealing Council, along with those in Hounslow and Richmond, could save millions of pounds used normally for land fill tax. Councillor Irwin Van Colle, chairman of WLWA, said; “AD represents the future of waste management. Diverting waste from landfill like this saves money for council tax payers, helps generate electricity and provides a biofertiliser for use on farmlands.” As well as the cost benefits  AD plants use of methane reduces the emission of the gas into the atmosphere. Methane is a greenhouse gas twenty two time more damaging than carbon dioxide and its refinement and processing will be a positive step towards the slowing of global warming.

Man and Vans, London’s original light removal service, has a solid record of environmental management. Man and Van Ealing will continue to look for ways to improve its emissions of greenhouse gases. Man and Van consider the Rightmove

man and van housing price rise graph 300x277

Man and Vans, London’s leading light removals service, is looking forward to a busy time as house prices rose this May by the greatest amount in six years. Rightmove has published its latest price index showing this month’s average asking price for houses as £227,441, compared to £222,077 in April, a 2.4 per cent rise. Optimists are hoping this increase, the largest since Rightmove began the index in 2003, will signal the end of falling house prices and a move out of recession.

London house prices reflected the national trend rising 2.7 per cent to £397,646. Man and Van Brent is particularly optimistic with house prices in this borough rising by 2.8 per cent, the greatest amount in London. By Contrast Man and Van Ealing are less optimistic as house prices in this West London borough have actually fallen by 7.8 per cent.

Man and Vans company director Robert Innes isn’t too optimistic regarding these figures; “This increase in house prices could be seen as a positive sign for the housing market but here at Man and Vans we’re remaining cautious. London house prices are still nearly £7,000 lower than May of last year and until prices rise to these similar levels we expect people to stay where they are. Man and Vans are committed to providing the most competitive prices in this time of recession. Those who are looking to move will find Man and Vans their best option.” To view man and vans prices follow this link – man and vans price list.

Righmove’s results seem to support the ideas of the Man and Van’s owner. Just 11,478 new London homes came on to the market over the last month, compared to 33,479 over the same period last year. Prices may be rising but fewer people seem to be cashing in on these prices and are deciding to stay where they are.

Man and Van Ealing has No Fear

May 18th, 2009

man and van ealing council 225x300With the 100th case of Swine Flu being diagnosed in the UK the World Health Organization has increased its warning level from four to five, one below pandemic. In a worst case scenario Ealing Borough will be one of the worst hit areas in the country with 4,235 deaths. Three schools in London have already stopped children from coming into classes with cases of the potentially deadly virus being reported and there is an increasing fear that other services could be affected.  However this fear has not stopped Man and Van, London’s leading light removals company, to continue its reliable service in the area.

Roman Oruzinsky, Man and Vans’ operation and logistics manager, has spoken to Ealing Primary Care Trust about the threat of Swine Flu; “I have talked to Ealing Council about how this virus could affect our service in the area and they assure me that robust plans are in place. The threat is real but at the moment it is just that… a threat. Swine Flu in the UK is not deadly and Ealing is well prepared. Needless to say Man and Vans are also well prepared and will continue to deliver the expert light removals service that we have become well known.”

Man and Vans has comprehensive contingency plans if Swine Flu became a pandemic but at this time there is no interruption in service. Cases of reported Swine Flu remain within tolerated levels and Man and Van Ealing are confident that the pandemic will not occur.
